PDFSpruce is a free PDF editor with local document processing and no account required.

Documents and editing

PDFs, images, filenames, previews and document text are processed in your browser. We do not upload them to a document-processing server. The editor is isolated on a separate origin from the public website and does not send document data to this page.

Storage and downloads

Documents stay in browser memory for the current session. Start over or close the tab to release them. Download your work before refreshing or leaving. Downloaded files remain wherever you choose to save them. We do not save document history in browser storage.

Website requests

Cloudflare hosts the website and receives ordinary website requests, including IP addresses. Local document processing does not mean that visiting the website is anonymous.

Advertising

No live ads, advertising cookies or analytics are currently enabled. The workspace has a labeled placeholder for future advertising. Disclosures and any required consent controls will be updated before advertising is activated. Ad scripts will not belong in the document editor.

Metadata removal is not redaction

Clearing metadata removes document properties and XMP metadata. Names, text, images and other identifying content can remain on the pages. Review exported documents before sharing them.
