How to use this tool
- Choose one PNG or switch to Batch images for up to 20. Files stay in the private browser workspace.
- JPG is preselected. Lower quality often makes a smaller file; you can also set a maximum width or crop ratio.
- Convert and compare sizes before downloading. Inspect small text and edges in the result if your PNG was a screenshot or diagram.
What happens to transparent PNG areas?
JPG does not support transparency. PDFSpruce fills transparent pixels with white before exporting, so a transparent logo may look different on a dark background. JPG also uses lossy compression, which can soften text or sharp graphics. For those images, keep PNG or use WebP instead. The converted JPG does not retain all source metadata.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Processing takes place in the isolated browser workspace. The public page may load analytics and advertising code, but it cannot read files selected in the workspace. Images and results are held in browser memory while the tab is open. Read how local processing works and our privacy information.
