How to split a PDF or extract selected pages
To extract pages from a PDF, open it in PDFSpruce, select the page checkboxes, and choose Extract selected. To create one PDF per page, choose Split into individual PDFs and download the ZIP. Both operations run locally, without uploading the document.

- Open the PDF in the workspace. Review the page thumbnails to find the pages you need.
- For one smaller PDF, select the desired pages and choose Extract selected. The selected pages follow their current workspace order.
- For a separate PDF for every page, choose Split into individual PDFs. Download the ZIP and unpack it using your device’s archive tool.
Before you export
Extracting a page preserves the content on that page; it does not remove sensitive information within it. Review each exported file before sharing. Document bookmarks, attachments and accessibility structure may not carry over.
A useful tip
Use extraction when the recipient needs one continuous document. Use the ZIP split when pages need to be stored or distributed separately. Check both the number of exported files and the pages they contain.

Your documents stay in your browser’s memory. PDFSpruce does not upload your PDFs, filenames, previews or document text. Download your finished work before closing or refreshing the editor. See our privacy information for details about website requests.
